It appears Lindsay Lohan isn’t the only starlet in talks to play Elizabeth Taylor.

Although the Mean Girls star confirmed she is still up for the role in the buzz-worthy biopic to E! News Sunday night at the Weinstein Company Golden Globes after party, we’ve learned Lohan has some competition by way of Megan Fox.

“I’ve been talking to Lindsay Lohan directly, and with her reps, and have been in conversations with other actresses, including Megan Fox,” Larry Thompson, the executive producer of Lifetime’s Liz and Dick, told E! News exclusively.

Thompson declined to elaborate further on specifics of the negotiations, but added that being in talks with more than one actress is not meant as an affront to the talent involved, but rather is simply de rigueur for projects of this nature.

“It’s a very serious selection,” Thompson continued. “It’s like casting for Hollywood royalty.”

And speaking of serious, a source tells E! News that while Lohan is still one of the frontrunners for the role, her probation status is “a complication.”

Lohan, who is on probation until the end of March, is due back in court Tuesday morning to face the judge in a probation status update hearing.

So, when will we know which star nabbed the role?

Rather soon, since the filmmaker plans to start shooting the movie in Canada as soon as this spring.

Megan Fox has stated that she is going to focus her energy on getting more roles in comedy movies, as she feels that, that is where she is best suited.

The gorgeous actress, who recently appeared on the Broadway stage  is set to take a little time off for the holidays but intends to pursue more comedic roles after the start of the year.
She has been praised by Leslie Mann, who worked with her on  This Is Forty. Leslie pointed out that Megan is very funny, something which many people seem to believe. Fox explained, “I’m sort of on a comedy kick. After a month’s rest, I think I’m gonna do maybe a few more comedy films. Everybody that knows me thinks I’m funny.”

Megan Fox is next set to appear on the big screen, alongside Anna Faris, Sacha Baron Cohen and John C. Reilly in the comedy The Dictator, which is released on May 11, 2012 in the US and May 18, 2012 in the UK. Megan will then appear in another comedy, alongside Leslie Mann, Jason Segel and Paul Rudd in This Is Forty, which is set to be released on December 21, 2012.

Megan Fox isn’t the only one rethinking her ink.

The 25-year-old actress recently told Access Hollywood that her husband of one year Brian Austin Green is “removing some tattoos also.” (Fox didn’t specify which of the 38-year-old actor’s many tattoos will be erased.)

The Friends With Kids star, who had a portrait of Marilyn Monroe inked on her right forearm when she was 18, said she doesn’t want to be associated with the blonde icon anymore.

“Her life was surrounded and shrouded in so much mystery and tragedy,” Fox explained. “There is negativity with her life and with her death.

“I just feel like there are better things to have inked on your body than someone who suffered so much,” she added. “So in getting older, I just decided that is something I wanted to get rid of.”

For now, Fox plans to keep the rest of her tattoos, which include a Shakespearean phrase on her back, her husband’s name on her right hip bone, the phrase “There once was a little girl who never knew love until a boy broke her heart” on her left ribcage, a crescent moon overlapping a star on her right ankle, a Yin and Yang on her left wrist, and a Chinese symbol on the nape of her neck.

Judd Apatow’s latest movie is a spin-off from the hilarious mega-hit, Knocked Up. This new movie stars Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann as the leads, and will boast a lot of famous faces as the supporting cast – including our girl, Megan Fox.

(The reviewer’s talking about the movie’s weaknesses): However, the whole thing began as a story about a boy who wants a car that’ll impress the hottest girl in school. Fox, as the anti-establishment daughter of a convicted felon and who isn’t at all intimated by policemen, soldiers, Men in Black or alien invaders, is a hell of a lot more interesting than Victoria’s Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, who couldn’t be any duller if she tried. If there’s a single fatal element in the film, it’s not the accented, wisecracking robots — I can buy, knowing they’re pretty much trapped on our world, that some might adopt human vernacular — it’s that Sam Witwicky could ever date someone so bland after the fiery Fox.

Like this summer’s other power sequel Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Dark of the Moon is a perfectly acceptable summer popcorn movie and won’t be fatal to its franchise. Megan Fox and John C. Reilly have joined the cast of Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest outrageous comedy (“The Dictator”), according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Fox and Reilly will just be making cameos in the film, though the details of their roles -as well as most of the film’s details – are being kept secret.

They’ll join Anna Faris, Ben Kingsley and Jason Mantzoukas in “the heroic story of a dictator who risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed.” Cohen is said to be playing both a goat herder and the foreign ruler who gets lost in the U.S.

A lot of people think Megan has really found her niche in comedies. Frankly, I love her in anything she’s in, and I still think Jonah Hex was great!

“The Dictator” should hit theaters on May 11, 2012.

They’re STILL using Megan Fox to generate publicity!

“She was in a different world, on her BlackBerry. You gotta stay focused. And you know, the Hitler thing. Steven [Spielberg] said, ‘Fire her right now,’” Bay said in a recent interview.

The “Hitler thing” refers to comments Megan Fox made in British magazine Wonderland, saying Bay liked to run his set in the style of the dictator.

“I wasn’t hurt, because I know that’s just Megan. Megan loves to get a response. And she does it in kind of the wrong way.”

“I’m sorry, Megan. I’m sorry I made you work 12 hours. I’m sorry that I’m making you show up on time,” Bay told GQ, which profiled him and many of his longtime collaborators, including current star Shia LaBeouf.

“Criticism is one thing,” LaBeouf said of Fox. “Then there’s public name-calling, which turns into high school bashing. Which you can’t do. She started [crap] -talking our captain.”

Wow. I thought Shia was supposed to be a friend of Megan’s. Friends don’t talk [crap] about friends, though, so I’m guessing he’s not much of one.

Megan Fox is being linked to another great role. Reportedly, she passed up both Wonder Woman and Super Girl but would love to land the role of Bat Girl.

“Megan loves the comic book genre but is holding out for the right role,” says a Hollywood insider. “She doesn’t want to be the sexy sidekick so Batgirl, in movie of her own.”

Recent reports also claim that Megan wants to play tortured teen Carrie in a planned remake of the 1976 horror classic based on Stephen King‘s novel.

“Megan is a huge fan of the original and would love the chance to play the lead,” reveals a source close to the star.

“She’s 25 now but she’s sure she could still do justice to teenage Carrie. She’s told her people to make it happen.”
